About the Event
HER Voice, HER Power is a six-week girls' empowerment and leadership program presented by Grace Youth Mentoring and Community Outreach (GYMACO). Designed for girls in grades 5–12, the program provides a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where participants are encouraged to discover their unique voices, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to become strong leaders in their schools, families, and communities.
Through engaging discussions, interactive activities, journaling, team-building exercises, guest speakers, and service projects, girls will strengthen their self-esteem while learning effective communication, healthy relationship skills, leadership, and goal setting. Participants will also take part in a book club experience featuring A Good Kind of Trouble by Lisa Moore Ramée, using literature as a tool to encourage meaningful conversations about identity, courage, empathy, and personal growth.
The program culminates with a graduation celebration recognizing each participant's commitment, growth, and accomplishments. By the end of the six weeks, girls will leave empowered…
